I have been absent for too long but I will try to be more active.

Being unstoppable is about believing and achieving.
It’s about having faith in yourself, your talents, your purpose,
and most of all, in God’s great love and His divine plan for your life.

Millions around the world recognize the smiling face and inspirational messages of Nick Vujicic.  Born without arms or legs, Nick has not allowed his physical challenges to keep him from enjoying great adventures, a fulfilling and meaningful career, and loving relationships.  Nick has overcome trials and hardships by focusing on the promises that he was created for a unique and specific purpose, that his life has value and is a gift to others, and that even though he may endure hardships, God is always present and in control.  Nick credits his success to the power that is unleashed when we put our faith into action.
But how does that happen?  In Unstoppable Nick offers guidance and inspiration for dealing with:

Personal crises
Self-destructive thoughts, emotions, and addictions
Relationship issues
Bullying, persecution, cruelty, and intolerance
Career and job challenges
Imbalance in body, mind, heart, and spirit
Health and disability concerns
Feeling out of control
In sharing compelling stories of his own experiences and those of many others, Nick explains how anyone can create a “ridiculously good life” and become unstoppable.

What’s standing in your way?  Are you ready to become unstoppable?

This book is very inspiring. Nick Vujicic, who was born without arms or legs, shows that you can do anything you choose to do. This book shows him going through life because of religious beliefs and pure willpower. The pictures are beautiful and add reality to the book. Most memoirs and biographies are not personal and it added something special. The only down side to this book is it is slightly repetitive and very religious. I am personally not very religious but it was still an inspiring story.

I got this book in return for a free review from Waterbrook Press.

Yay two reviews in one day.

For young Leonhard Euler, the Bernoulli family have been more than just friends. Master Johann has been a demanding mentor, and his sons have been Leonhard's allies and companions. But it is also a family torn by jealousy and distrust. Father and sons are engaged in a ruthless competition for prestige among the mathematical elites of Europe, especially the greatest prize: the Chair of Mathematics at the University of Basel, which Johann holds and his sons want. And now, their aspirations may have turned deadly.

Lured into an investigation of the suspicious death of Uncle Jacob twenty years ago, Leonhard soon realizes there's more at stake than even a prominent appointment. Surrounded by the most brilliant--and cunning--minds of his generation, Leonhard is forced to see how dangerous his world is. His studies in mathematics have always been entwined with his thoughts on theology, and now, caught in a deadly battle of wills, he'll need both his genius and his faith to survive.

This book is written in the first person and I do not particularly care for books written in this fashion. I do love the history that is involved in the writing in this book. The main character is a real amazing mathematician and the family Bernoulli is a real family too. Some parts of the book are hard to understand because you are in the first person and you have to figure it out yourself. THis book does require concentrarion because the main character is a mathematician and a very brilliant man. This book is a long read but very good and filled with mystery. I truly liked the mystery and history behind this book.

I recommend this to history buffs and people who are into mystery. I don't think younger people would appreciate it as much but it is good.

I received this book complimentary of Bethany House Publishers. Thank you for it

This is the third installment in the Merlin's Immortals series.

Will this dangerous quest lead the outcast Orphan King toward an ancient secret—or to certain destruction?

Posing as a beggar, Thomas escapes Magnus after fifteen men, who are calling themselves the Priests of the Holy Grail, arrive and take control of the castle through wondrous acts and apparent miracles. With the help of his longtime friend Gervaise, Thomas sets out on a journey that leads him to the ancient Holy Land. Unaware that Katherine and Hawkwood are watching over him, Thomas is tested in his beliefs and comes face to face with the ancient power that the Merlins and Druids have long been searching for.

Enter the world of Merlin’s Immortals, where ancient secrets and evil conspiracies take you on a breathless adventure of discovery, intrigue, and hidden knowledge.

This book has a steady rhythm throughout the beginning and quickly speeds up toward the end. It is filled with mysteries and action. All the characters are memorable and well written. He continuously throughout the book demonstrates his battle with what he wants to believe and what is being force fed to him. I enjoyed this book a lot. This series in general is well written and a good read.

I recommend this book to people older than ten and those who enjoy medieval stories with hints of religious tones.

"Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury

Well now for my first classic reading that I was forced into. I read this as an assignment for English class. So let us begin.

Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden.

Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television “family.” But then he meets an eccentric young neighbor, Clarisse, who introduces him to a past where people didn’t live in fear and to a present where one sees the world through the ideas in books instead of the mindless chatter of television.

When Mildred attempts suicide and Clarisse suddenly disappears, Montag begins to question everything he has ever known. He starts hiding books in his home, and when his pilfering is discovered, the fireman has to run for his life.

I am surprised at how much I like this book. Usually when you are forced to read a book you hate it and never want to read it, but I almost read the whole book an two days. The ideas and symbolism that it holds are deep and meaningful. This book was written in the 1950s and it holds technology that we have today. Ray Bradbury has to be a time traveler or something how else would he know what are society would become. Also sometimes in the book it just starts to blurt out random words and you don't know what's going on. there is a thin line between Reality and Guy Montag's hallucinations. In general a fantastic read.

I recommend this book to everyone at the stage of self awareness, the younger bunch might be slightly more disturbed.

Hello everyone, I'm back. This book is the second book to "A Cast of Stones" which you can find the review here. Once again I am lazy and this took me longer than expected.

When Sarin Valon, the corrupt secondus of the conclave, flees Erinon and the kingdom, Errol Stone believes his troubles have at last ended. But other forces bent on the destruction of the kingdom remain and conspire to accuse Errol and his friends of a conspiracy to usurp the throne.

In a bid to keep the three of them from the axe, Archbenefice Canon sends Martin and Luis to Errol's home village, Callowford, to discover what makes him so important to the kingdom. But Errol is also accused of consorting with spirits. Convicted, his punishment is a journey to the enemy kingdom of Merakh, where he must find Sarin Valon, and kill him. To enforce their sentence, Errol is placed under a compulsion, and he is driven to accomplish his task or die resisting.

So, after the first book I realized that this series is going to take me by surprise. I was not disappointed. This book threw so many things at me at once that it was almost confusing. You will feel sorry for the main character, Errol, by the end of the book I can guarantee it. The secrets revealed about the series in this book is a major game changer. It is fast paced and a great read. I finished it in a bout two days and that was when I was being lazy . Overall a great book.

I recommend this to any readers who like the old fantasy books with a touch of religion.

I got this book complimentary of Bethany House Publishers. So thank you very much.

I got this book complimentary of Tyndale Publishing. This book is part of a series but you can read this book as a stand alone like I did.

During the reading of her mother’s will, Sheila Baker discovers that she has inherited everything her parents ever possessed, including their secrets. A mysterious safe-deposit box key leads her to the answers to one of history’s greatest conspiracies: Who killed John F. Kennedy? Not only does she have the missing film, revealing her mother as the infamous babushka lady, but she has proof that there was more than one shooter.

On the run from people who would stop at nothing to keep secrets buried, Sheila turns to billionaire sleuth Jason Hammond for help. Having lost his own family in a tragic plane crash, Jason knows a thing or two about running from the past. With a target on their backs and time running out, can Jason finally uncover the truth behind the crime that shook a generation—or will he and Sheila become its final victims?

This book is a great mystery book based on the Kennedy assassination. The characters are well developed and easy to understand. This book takes you on twists and turns that you won't believe. At some points the author introduces characters that seem to have nothing to do with the plot but then they are  worked in and you understand where they played in. It was overall action packed, fast paced, and well written. "Frame 232" is a g

I recommend this book to anyone that wants to go into theory on the Kennedy assassination and likes American history.

Below I will post questions and answers taken from the author and a video of the author explaining the book.

What inspired you to write a novel around the assassination of President John F. Kennedy?

I have always been fascinated by the assassination, which, obviously, was one of the most pivotal and enigmatic events in American history. And when I heard about the ‘Babushka Lady’ one of the few people in Dealey Plaza that day who remains unidentified and the possibility that she may have filmed the shooting, an idea came to mind that seemed too good to disregard.

What have you learned about the real Babushka Lady?

She was wearing an overcoat, glasses, and a head scarf (i.e., a babushka), and was standing about thirty feet from the limousine when the president took the fatal shot. Most assassination experts believe she was also holding a camera very possibly a film camera. If so, and if she had a reasonably steady hand, then she probably took the best moving images of the assassination; even better than the famed Zapruder film. Plus, she was standing opposite Zapruder, which afforded her a unique angle. And yet, we don’t know her name, and her film has never surfaced. And here’s the most important part about her in relation to Frame 232 she was a real person. I didn’t invent her to serve the story. If you do a Google search, you’ll find her.

What is the significance of the title?

Simple, once the Babushka film is analyzed, the key moment that helps our heroes move forward with their investigation occurs on frame 232.

Okay sorry for the long wait. The next review I will do is on The Christy Miller Volume One: By Robin Jones Gunn. This book is 489 Pages and has three books in it. It is a Quick read though.

    "Summer Promise

Fourteen-year-old Christy spends the summer with her aunt and uncle in California. As Christy meets new friends, she is exposed to other teens involved in sex, drugs and drinking. Although she is offered drugs and alcohol, Christy honors a promise she made to her parents not to do anything that she might regret. Christy meets Todd, a surfer who loves talking about God. Todd and his friends challenge Christy in her faith, and she invites Jesus into her life. Christy wonders if she and Todd could ever be more than just friends.

A Whisper and a Wish

Christy is excited when her family decides to move to California. As a 15-year-old sophomore, she has to make new friends at a new school, and Christy is surprised when she fits into a popular group of girls and attracts the attentions of the school's heartthrob, Rick Doyle. One of her new friends, Brittany, appears to have an eating disorder. While Christy, Brittany and another new friend, Janelle, vacation in Palm Springs with Christy's aunt and uncle, Brittany persuades the other girls to go with her to the drugstore. She picks up her mother's prescriptive diet pills and three boxes of laxatives. Then she tries to leave the store without paying. When confronted by a security guard, Brittany slips the items into Christy's purse and runs out with Janelle, leaving Christy alone with the guard. Christy is taken to the police station for questioning before an officer releases her to her aunt and uncle. She learns the importance of saying no to bad influences and yes to good ones. She also learns to rely on God — the one friend who will never abandon her.

Yours Forever

It's Christmas break, and Christy gets to spend a week at her aunt and uncle's house. Before she leaves, she meets her friend Rick in the church parking lot to exchange gifts. His unanticipated kiss leaves her confused about their relationship. Once at her aunt and uncle's, Christy is excited to be with her old beach friends — especially Todd. However her romantic dream of spending time with Todd doesn't work out as she had hoped. When the gang goes ice-skating, Christy ends up with Doug the entire time, creating numerous wrong impressions. Christy apologizes to her friends, and Todd gives her an ID bracelet with the word Forever engraved on it. Todd explains to Christy that no matter what happens in their relationship, they will be friends forever.
"

I was slightly apprehensive about reading this book because it is a Christian book but after I completed it, there was nothing wrong with it. I mean the way she wrote it, the religious stuff was subtle and the main character Christy was so relate able that she could be the girl next door. All the problems she faces in this book are what any normal girl would go through.

I would recommend reading it if you are open minded about other religions or are a Christian of any category. I would like to thank Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this book for review.
